ST. PATRICK'S DAY >> HEALTHY SHAMROCK SHAKE

( cutesy straws from Target )

Mmkay, we all know that McDonald's isn't particularly nutritious, so why are people are still slammin' back toxic cocktails ( aka shamrock shakes ) like there's no tomorrow ?

There are over 54 different ingredients/chemicals in a shamrock shake. FIFTY. fricken. FOUR. I don't know about you, but when I'm reading a food label, I'm hoping to find less than 10 ingredients.

Here's the real deal with these green monsters: they're full of additives, artificial flavors, & weird ingredients like carrageenan.

Good times.

Whelpppp don't ever worry about drinking nasty shamrock shakes ever again because lucky for you, I created a healthier version of the St. Paddy's Day favorite w/ a lil help from my friends at JS HealthThis drink is perf for spring; it's oh-so-refreshing & since I'm super obsessed with almond-y stuff, it's real yummy too.
& I want you to know that this is a very lazy girl smoothie. Like, sorry I'm not sorry that I don't have 31214 hours to dedicate to making a sweet treat?

Ingredients:
- handful of raw almonds ( ehhh, like 10 ? )
- ice ( whatever your preference is !! )
- 1 cup almond milk ( special thanks to my girl Lauryn at TSC; she found a brand from Whole Foods called 365 that doesn't contain carrageenan. So point: drink 365 if possible! To learn more about this fishy additive, read this. )
- 1 tsp almond butter
- 1/2 frozen banana
- a few drops of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- a few drops of pure mint extract
- a lil bit of green food coloring, because cute right ?! ( not the healthiest thing ever, so this is optional, lol )

So just chuck that all in a blender & blend away.

What's your favorite lazy girl smoothie? SHARE!
