I'm obviously obsessed w/ Erica Davidge, ( << rad style icon, snowboarder & surfer, photographer, + badass blogger ) the babe behind Notes from the Chairlift. I was instantly drawn to her wild style because

it's so different – the girl has her own look going on.

+ fav trends this season ?

ED: I don't usually pay attention to trends, but I have always been a fan of the moto look which seems to always be in style. I am seeing it in a lot of snowboard outerwear as well, like waxed black skinny pants, leather details on snowboard jackets, and black ski masks. Heck...some kids just go ahead and rock a leather jacket when they shred.

+ what inspires your style ?

ED: I have been influenced by so many things over the years that have all contributed to developing my taste. I have always been inspired by the content Free People puts out, they do a wonderful job of styling for their shoots and their models are stunning. There are also effortlessly cool people I admire like Oracle Fox, 4th and Bleeker, Kate Moss, and Hanalei Reponty.

And my snowboarding style has just evolved over the years with my riding, just finding what works while also trying to stand out on the slopes. It really bums me out when I see someone wearing the same exact thing as me on the mountain.

+ fashion staple ?

ED: I would say the biggest staple in my closet is a good pair of super skinny black jeans. They are really flattering on anyone and go well with everything! I believe every girl should invest in a nice pair...trust me it's worth it.

+ how would you describe your rad sense of style ?

ED: My style is a super unusual blend between edgy surfer girl, mixed with minimalism, and sometimes a bit of rock n roll babe since I have a thing for bell bottoms, fringe, and leather. I really like to have fun with my style...otherwise what's the point?

Even when I snowboard I like to stay a bit edgy with my style since I've never been a big snow bunny fan. But I don't mind still looking like a girl...since it's just more satisfying when you do a killer trick & people recognized you're a chick.

+ brand/designer you love ?

ED: I have a couple of favorite designers that I constantly find myself collecting new pieces from. One of them is Lottie Hall, I just love her fun ocean-inspired prints and super unique designs. Her clothes are totally meant for the mermaid at heart!

For swimwear, I really dig Minimale Animale's edgy suits. They are just super stunning in person and look killer on. Now as for my snowboarding outerwear I really love Holden Outerwear, their outerwear is just extremely well made as well as stylish.
